Wall Street traders appear to shrug off fears of escalation between Iran and Israel

European markets opened higher on Monday, oil prices cooled and US futures are trading higher shrugging off fears of escalation in the Middle East after Iran's unsuccessful attack towards Israel.

The Stoxx Europe 600 edged up 0.1 per cent, pulled higher by gains for consumer groups and industrials. The US West Texas Oil Intermediate dropped 1% to $84.82.

Future contracts of the S&P 500 and the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite were up 0.5 per cent ahead of the New York trading session.
